The Forensic and Valuation Services Section of the Georgia Society of CPAs will host its 4th annual Fraud & Forensic Accounting Conference on September 16, 2011. Experts in fraud identification, investigation, reporting and deterrence will provide training in forensic techniques as well as litigation support and expert witnessing. Morning general sessions will include presentations on the true story of Fraudulent Intention$, the Richard Scrushy story, and what types of fraud are targets for Federal prosecution. A variety of afternoon breakout sessions will allow attendees to design their own learning program by selecting from specialized sessions pertaining to all facets of forensic accounting and fraud investigation, including an afternoon-long trial simulation of a divorcing couple. Read the full conference brochure.
Sounds like it is worth attending. I wish there were similar events in the UK.

This does sound like an interesting event to attend. I agree with Accountants Cardiff, it would be brilliant if they had similar events in the UK.

If you don't mind I'm totally going to plug this event in our "events" blog. I got very lucky that I blundered into this post. May I suggest that from now on you announce these events on the learning center calendar at progressiveaccountant.com?

CPA Websites, by all means please do mention the event on the www.progressiveaccountant.com website. Thank-you for bringing your site to my attention and for inviting me to post this and future GSCPA events thereon.
